The heat of summer has us reaching for refreshing fruit all day long. Fruit Salsa recipes are quickly becoming a family favorite.
Fruit Salsa recipes have possibly just become my largest Pinterest board. I don’t know how your family handles the heat of summer but summer to us means flying through popsicles and ALL the fruit! (If it was a normal summer I would also include trips to the pool and splash pads here.)
Why fruit salsa recipes?
I for one am not great at trying new things which makes these fruit salsa recipes perfect for me. A fun opportunity to try new fruits and new combinations without using a ton of fruit.
Fruit Salsa Recipe Tips.
Here are a few things I’ve learned about fruit salsa recipes.
1. When possible you want the freshest fruits and ingredients you can find. You’ll end up with the best flavors and your salsa will last longer with fresh ingredients.
2. Read the recipe through before you need it – some fruit salsa recipes call for the ingredients to sit mixed together for a few hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
3. Chill! Personally I prefer my fruit salsas nice and cold. This may mean you want to keep them on ice if you’re going to have them out at like a summer bbq.
Let’s get to the recipes!
Full disclosure – I have not personally tried all of these fruit salsa recipes. If I have my way I will by the time summer is over. I’m excited to try some of these different combinations and I hope you find some you’re excited to try out too. As always, if we’ve missed a favorite make sure and share it with us in the comment so we can add it and try it ourselves.
I don’t know which of these fruit salsa recipes to try next. I’m leaning toward being really adventurous and trying the mango avocado salsa. It’s a combination I wouldn’t put together on my own which has me excited to give it a go.
I think another appropriate fruit salsa tip would be to try a smaller batch the first time. While these all look delicious to me, that doesn’t mean my family is going to feel the same way. I think with ones that have combinations we haven’t tried before I’ll half the recipe the first time and keep track of the favorites so I know in the future which ones to make full batches of, or maybe even double them.
