So, a while back Lisa posted about the belief jars she did for Young Women’s. I loved them and knew as soon as we started planning our family vacation this year to Disneyland (thanks to a very generous and exciting gift from my parents) I was going to makeover our vacation jar to be cute and a constant reminder of what our end goal is.
Monday night after our day of fun Nate and I talked to the kids about the vacation and about how much things cost and then got them thinking about how much money they’d like to save up for their own spending money. 5 out of 7 of the kids have birthdays right close to the time we’re going and after talking to them it sounds like they just want money for their birthdays this year so that they can pick their own treasures at the happiest place on earth! I love talking with them and how a lot of them are old enough now to understand that things cost money and that some things they’ll have to save up for and buy themselves.
SO, to keep us all excited and inspired for saving money for our vacation that is far away I made our jar all sorts of cute and I’m going to show you how you can do it too!
